The European Utility Telecom Conference is the largest gathering of telecommunications and technology executives from Europe's electric, gas and water utilities, and their technology partners who are focused on exploring the latest telecommunications and data networking business solutions and business opportunities. Held since 2003, the Conference features informative and provocative presentations on wireless networking, shared system solutions, European Commission regulatory drivers, security and reliability issues, and new telecom business opportunities for utilities.

I Who should Attend? I

The conference is designed to meet the needs of senior European executives from utilities, pipelines and other critical infrastructure companies as well as their technology and financial partners who have responsibilities for managing all internal telecom networks as well as developing new telecom ventures. Government regulators looking for innovative ways to promote economic development by encouraging utility telecom ventures should also attend.

Previous attendees have named networking opportunities as a major benefit of the EUTC Conference. Because Utilities Telecommunications and IT professionals find difficult to identify their counterparts within other companies, and because their role is quite unique within their own company, the opportunity to finally meet with hundreds of other practitioners is priceless. Sessions offer a dynamic approach, allowing great interaction between attendees and speakers. The programme also dedicates time for networking breaks and lunches, for participants to make new contacts, and continue discussing with peers. EUTC invites you and your partner to join other participants for a welcome drink on Tuesday at the SANA Lisboa Hotel. On Wednesday evening, EUTC will take you to the stunning Convento de Beato, a convent dating back to the 15th century, for a Gala reception full of surprises.

I About EUTC… I

Technology is rapidly changing the role of telecommunications in Europe’s electric, gas and water utilities, energy companies, and other critical infrastructure companies. Many are using their vast experience in building and managing sophisticated telecommunications networks to enter Europe’s new competitive telecoms markets. Many are also facing issues introducing new wireless communications systems and managing internal telecoms businesses in a shared services environment. To meet this need, the Utilities Telecommunications Council created a uniquely European program that builds on UTC’s 60 years of experience, existing strengths and services. UTC’s programs in Europe is led by Europeans, designed for Europeans, and is uniquely European in focus. To better serve the needs of its European members, EUTC has opened an office in Brussels in January 2007.
